Despite being a relatively modest operation, our company management’s ethos has always been to strive to be the best possible employer treating every employee with the highest respect without discriminating against sexes, race or religion.
Following is a summary of our company’s culture, beliefs, policies and practices relating to HR:
- We do not tolerate “politicking”
- We reward based on performance, contribution, initiative, quality and quantity of work done, and teamwork
- We don’t have room for “prima donnas”
- We have the highest respect for employees with a deep sense of integrity and honesty
- An employee with an outstanding work attitude and eager to learn is worth more than a highly educated and experienced one with a bad attitude
- We believe that all employees should aim to achieve a good family-work life balance. As a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have changed our working arrangements to a hybrid model allowing for employees who are able to work from home to do so as long as productivity is not affected and there are no disruptions to the business operations. We continue to meet effectively with Zoom/MS Teams.
- We do our best to create the best possible working environment in the office to enable every employee to perform at his/her best.
- When any of our employees join the company they are told specifically "Come with nothing, Go with nothing" – they are clearly instructed never to take any data, documents or information from their previous employers and by the same token never to take with them anything from our company should they decide to leave some day for whatever reasons.
Planet Asia will be a sanctuary in times of crises – during the Covid-19 pandemic, we did not lay off any employees, did not enforce any pay cuts and did not require anyone to take unpaid or paid leave of absence.
